Einhell Germany AG throws big party: An evening of celebration, gratitude and proud moments
Never before in the history of Einhell Germany AG has the company thrown such a party: Last Friday, July 28th, the DIY and garden tool manufacturer celebrated passing the 1 billion euro mark in sales in 2022 in the presence of 1,400 guests at the Volksfestplatz venue in Landau.

Guests were entertained with a unique program of events held in a gigantic tent which had been erected on the 6,000 square meter grounds some days previously. Einhell Germany AG tickled the taste buds of its guests by taking them a world tour for the day, spoiling them with culinary specialties from six continents. Musical accompaniment was provided by the Oktoberfest band Münchner Zwietracht.
The official part started punctually at 17.45, introduced by Joachim Llambi, well known as one of the judges on the “Let’s Dance” TV show, who acted as MC for the evening.
Andreas Kroiss, CEO Einhell Germany AG, began his speech by thanking the whole workforce and praising their tireless commitment: “It had always been my great vision to pass the 1 billion euro mark in sales. Together we have made that possible. I am incredibly proud and grateful for this outstanding achievement, and the valuable part played by each and every one of you. The unbelievable dedication of our Einhell team is in evidence once again here this evening. I am very impressed by what the many hard-working staff have managed to achieve here.”
The other board members, Dr. Markus Thannhuber (Chief Technical Officer), Jan Teichert (Chief Financial Officer), and Dr. Christoph Urban (Chief IT Officer), were then also brought onto the stage and given the opportunity to talk about their own personal experience in the history of Einhell in a wide-ranging interview with Mr. Llambi.
The appearance of Josef Thannhuber, founder of the company, and his wife Gisela Thannhuber triggered standing ovations. Following a brief exchange with Mr. Llambi on the stage, Andreas Kroiss presented Josef and Gisela Thannhuber with a gift to commemorate passing the 1 billion euro sales mark.
A huge 1 billion cake was also brought out. This was cut jointly by the Thannhuber founding family and Andreas Kroiss before being shared out among the guests. The official part was rounded off with a number of films and video messages from Einhell’s partner companies. Among those not wanting to miss the opportunity to send their congratulations to everyone present were Giovane Élber, a legend of soccer club Bayern Munich, and Toto Wolff, CEO of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team.
The richly varied program of events also included an internationally famous magician, the world-famous acrobat duo “Golden Power”, and a musical interlude by field sales colleagues.
They were followed immediately on stage by “Boney M. feat. Liz Mitchell”, who really got the crowd going by performing their classic hits and legendary songs.
The highlight of the evening was the appearance of Austrian pop singer DJ Ötzi, who delighted the audience with his band and show dancers and topped the evening with a magnificent performance.
